Shortest NBA Players on NBA History

What do you think about the shortest NBA Players? Are they weak in the game? Do you think only the tallest player in the NBA is the strongest and best player? As when bastketball starts and introduced.

Obviously tall players are mostly who played because tall players are known to be a good in the game, as what they say "The Taller the player is the better" but you must amazed on this and after you read this article probably your mind and what do you believe about NBA players will change.

These are the list of Shortest NBA Players on NBA History according to height.


Tyrone "Mugsy" Bogues



Height: 5’3,
Date of birth: January 9, 1965
Birth place: Baltimore, Maryland USA.

Tyrone played as a point guard over 14-years on his career on NBA, it includes more than 9 years in Charlotte as the original member in the team in year 1988 as when the hornets picked him.


Tyrone rank as the hornets all time leader in assists, steals and minute played. Also tyrone played for Toronto Raptors in year 1999-2001 and he was traded to the New York Knicks in year 2001 but tyrone didn’t played for the team because of a serious injury he gain. Aside from being called as the all-time Shortest NBA Player, Tyrone also known to be the shortest NBA Player who dunk the ball in the ring.







Earl Boykins

Earl boykins is the shortest player in the history of NBA who scores 30+ during the game, and known to be the second of the shortest NBA player he played as a point guard in Denver Nuggets team.

In his College schooling time in Eastern Michigan University, even boykins has lesser height than the other player he got the honorable mention in All Mid-American Conference in his junior and senior year.

Just this year, 2011 of February 27, Boykins was retired on his career and he raised in a ceremony at the university of Eastern Michigan Convocation center.







Anthony "Spud" Webb

Anthony Webb is the third shortest player who played on NBA. Usually in the game Webb played as a point guard just like the previous player mentioned above. Webb known for his awesome slam dunk despite of being the shortest NBA Players in NBA league.

In his college year he played on the junior varsity team, he used his quickness and awesome jumping ability as a weapon during the game.







Wataru "Kilo Wat" Misaka




Height: 5'7
A retired NBA player known as one of the shortest NBA Player from Asia. Wataru has very short plays on his NBA career (1947-1948) he only plays 3 games in the NBA before he quitted.

Nate Robinson

Nate Robinson is a professional NBA Player plays for New York Knicks and Celtics after his awesome college experience on the field of basketball.

He is a successful player as a point guard in the said team and NBA’s first three-time slam dunk champion. Aside from a being a basketball player, Nate Robinson also played football at the university of Washington on his college time.


Calvin Murphy

A retired professional NBA player and point guard of Houston Rockets in the year 1970-1983. In year 1980 Calvin Murphy is known for consecutive free throws he made that amazed the people on the year. Calvin Murphy is also a host of ESPN Radio's "The Calvin Murphy Show".

On Murphy's college days he was the three-time Al-American. Murphy made a score pf 2,548 points on his 77 games (equivalent to 33.1 points per game).






Damon "Mighty Mouse" Stoudamire

An assistant coach for NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and a retired professional basketball player. Damon Stoudamire was awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year award in year 1995-1996 scoring with an average of 19 points in every game he played.

In Damon Stoudamire NBA career history he played the team Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzles and San Antonio Spurs until the such time comes when he retires.
