Capuano's most recent outing -- in which he allowed just one earned run on four hits in six innings against Philadelphia last Friday -- was deserving of a win, but he was left with a no-decision after closer Francisco Rodriguez blew a save and the Mets lost, 6-4.

The left-hander had only thrown 78 pitches before getting the hook from Terry Collins, but was understanding of his skipper's decision.

"I understand at that point in the game, runs are kind of at a premium," Capuano said. "We're trying to score some runs there. It was a short conversation. I obviously still felt good, hadn't thrown many pitches, but he's managing to win the game right there."

Going for what would be his Major League-leading eighth win for the Pirates is Kevin Correia. Correia, who became the league's first seven-game winner last Friday, owns 3.44 ERA, and has also seemingly enjoyed starting on the road this season. He's 6-1 away from home.
